Hope came to the shelter with Joy who was adopted immediately, leaving Hope alone. She did not adapt well to shelter life and is now being fostered. Happily, she is doing excellent in a quieter environment with just a few other cats. She is very affectionate and enjoys being around people, sitting on laps or a nearby chair offering quiet companionship. She isn’t comfortable being picked up but who knows? She may learn to love it.
Hope deserves a human who is gentle and patient and who can offer her a safe and secure home. Are you that someone?

Stud has recently lost the love of his life, his human. When she passed away his whole world was turned upside down. Stud became depressed and unsure of which direction to go in. Whoa, check out the paws on me! Especially the back ones! I'm a really nice cat, looking for love, warmth and food. I came to CCHS as a frozen, skinny stray. Now I've become this super awesome, chubby kitty! I have just blossomed since coming into the shelter and I don't know how I haven't been adopted yet. Stella was found in one of our pens in the front outside area. She was at first very scared of the people handling her. Now she has warmed up a lot and is even a little playful with the staff and volunteers. She will give you little play bites when you play with her. She is a super great cat who just wants the loving she deserves.

I was spotted a few times at the shelter roaming around the dumpster. They set out a livetrap for me and caught me. Good thing for that since now I am in this nice, warm place. I can be a cuddlebug and just be in your arms. And I can be an independent girl too. I'm just an all around good cat. I love treats as you can see because I am a pretty big girl. Just all the more to love!

Since coming to the shelter Diva has really been coming out of her shell. She is a very independent cat who likes to do her own thing. She isn't too fond of the other cats and also cuddling. She does enjoy head scratches though and if you have a few of those to give, she'll gladly take them. If you are looking for a independent cat with great green eyes, Diva is for you!

Poppy got her name because of where she was found by a private citizen. She was in a pop machine! Luckily someone found her and saved her from it. She is a bit plump but loves to play! She loves the laser pointer. You can also find her sometimes in the sink! She loves to drink and relax in it. She would be a great cat for your family!

We have had volunteers and visitors comment that he looks like a sloth! Granite enjoys humans, whether it be sitting on your lap getting pet, or curiously listening to you talk from across the room. She is a very nice cat, a little shy at first but she is getting used to all the visitors at CCHS and is embracing all the attention she gets for her enormous paws.

Willy is a shy guy who came in as a stray from Lake Linden. He was very afraid at first and kept to himself but after some time and lots of loving at CCHS, he is coming around and enjoys the quiet comfort of being cared for. He is a nice boy who enjoys having his head scratched. If you are looking for a quiet companion, Willy is a good choice.
