I had to put my beloved cat Sibley to sleep after a few months battling kidney disease. I came to the shelter to drop off cat food but I put a carrier in the car…just in case. I was not really looking for a new kitty so soon, but there are so many cats needing homes I couldn\’t help myself. One named Jolly came up and wrapped herself around my neck. She came home with me that day and is happily eating the cat food. Her new name is Metta, which means loving-kindness. She is a sweetheart and gets along just fine with my old dogs. That hole in my heart is filled again. Please adopt a kitty from the shelter and fill the hole in your heart.
