**HOME-TO-HOME ADOPTION**
Name: Nico
Age: 3.5 years
Gender: Male
Breed: Shepherd mix
Nico is a sweet, sensitive, snuggly dog with lots of personality. He is athletic and intelligent. He needs daily exercise and mental stimulation. He can be very mischievous but is content with lots of downtime as long as he has exercised or has done some indoor training.
We have worked with Sue Kapla of Canine Consultants (in Marquette) to improve Nico’s behavior. His behavior has improved tremendously, but still needs some work for him to be obedient around other dogs. He is good at skills such as sit, lay down, go-to-crate, off (of furniture), noticing and dismissing during walks (cars, people, other dogs if they’re far enough away), and maintaining eye contact.
He would do best in a home with no other pets or small children. We are incredibly sad to re-home Nico, but think it’s best since we have a new baby and Nico is showing signs of anxiousness around her.
