In May of 2001 our family adopted a husky-mix named Haley. We were so excited to bring Haley into our family and needless to say, there was an adjustment period, as is the case with any new member of a family. One thing we noticed is that she never came nor reacted when we called her by name. So, we decided to rename her, Sasha. She always came running (with a smile) when we called out her new name.
Sasha was a very good girl, easy to train, loved everyone, great with kids and always greeted us with a smile. We never regretted adopting her into our pack.
Last week we lost our Sasha to cancer; she was an old dog and we gave her the best life a dog could wish for. We are so grateful to Copper Country Humane Society for allowing us to to adopt Haley/Sasha. She was dear to us and we enjoyed her companionship and miss her very much!
