Piper joined our family on Feb. 1. She’s a black lab mix who was rescued by CCHS from a shelter downstate. Our 5 year old had been bitten by our previous dog, so we needed to make sure that the dog we adopted would be gentle and non-aggressive. She has been so patient and loving with our 3 boys – we can’t imagine our family without this goofy, loving lab! She loves to be wherever we are, whether it be curled up in the Living Room, or chasing snowballs in the yard (which she could do all day long!). Her tail just pounds when the boys wake up in the morning. When we come into the house, she looks around for something to bring to us – a toy, slipper, mitten, or whatever she can find. We love our Piper – she fits right in to our active family, and we are so thankful for CCHS and the volunteers who made it possible for her to come to the UP and to our home.
Thank you!
