1. Miraculously, they are too short to drink from the toilet.
2. They are relentlessly cheerful and wag their tails through scoldings as much as they wag for “adda-girls”.
3. Beagles are strong enough to help dig in the garden and small enough to rest in our laps when we take a break.
4. It’s good to have two beagles because one can be doing something funny and endearing while the other one is breaking the rules or a lamp.
5. Nothing says “Welcome to our home” better than two wagging, wiggling beagles.
6. They always follow the two fold rule: Whatever kindness and affection we offer, twice as much is returned to us.
7. They seem to learn complex English phrases more easily than single words. They have mastered “wanna go bye-bye” and “time for treats” but still struggle with “sit”, “stay” or “no”.
8. They are the best bed buddies for our grandson as he sleeps tangled in beagles.
9. They provide excellent exercise for our muscles, heartstrings and funny bones.
10. When they stretch and yawn on their way to the patio door each morning, they always seem to be asking the same question, “Isn’t this just the greatest morning?”.
